Communicate No 1
Communicate No 1 of the Director of the Maritime Office in Szczecin dated 7th May 2003 on the creation of the pilot station:
On the basis of §16 point 3 and 4 of the decree of the Ministry Infrastructure dated 23rd January 2003 on professional qualifications of maritime pilots (Official Journal of Law No 39, pos. 339) the following is announced:
1. By decision dated 7th May 2003, the Director of the Maritime Office in Szczecin created the pilot station with its seat in Szczecin and operating in the name of Pilot Station in Szczecin. The task of the pilot station is to organize and coordinate the rendering of pilotage services in compulsory maritime pilotage in the ports of the basic economic meaning and other ports and marinas in the area from longtitude 15°23 24 East to the western border of Poland and the area of their roadsteads and anchorages as well as the seaway leading to those ports and marinas within the internal waters and territorial sea, and especially the seaway Swinoujscie - Szcecin. More over the pilot station leads the training of candidates for pilots and maritime pilots.
2. On behalf of the companies rendering pilot services, the pilot station is provided and managed by the company Szczecin-Piot LTD with its seat in Szczecin, registered in National Judidal Register (KRS) , led by the Area Court in Szczecin- (KRS NO 00000 34657)
3. Within the territorial competence of Pilot Station in Szczecin there is one pilotage area that comprises the area of station activity described in point 1 and particularly the following areas:
a) the seaway at the distant roadstead of port Swinoujscuie and Szczecin - port Szczecin,
b) the port of Szczecin,
c) the port of Swinoujscie,
d) the ports of Trzebiez and Stepnica together with their seaways,
e) areas adjacent to the shipyards berths.
4. Order no 6 of the Director of the Maritime Office in Szczecin dated 27th July 1992 on the creation of the pilot station (Official Journal of Law of West Pomeranian Voivodship No 9, pos. 120) expires .
